Dr. Altuna and his team are dedicated to ensuring that their patients receive the best care possible. As a group, we are committed to peak performance. Introducing Dr. Altuna
Dr. G. Altuna received his diploma in Orthodontics and Master of Science Degree from the University of Toronto Dental Faculty in 1975. Previous to that he received his Doctoral Degree (PHD.) and Orthodontic Specialty Degree from the University of Bonn Germany.
Dr. Altuna has been practicing orthodontics for the last 35 years. He has been working as an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto Orthodontic department involved in research, graduate and under graduate education orthodontics.
Throughout the years, Dr. Altuna has received numerous research grants, academic awards and has presented over 35 continuing education seminars to dentists and specialists all around the world, as well as attending numerous orthodontic scientific meetings himself.
He has published more than 30 papers in conference proceedings, presented paper posters seminars in 25 meetings and symposiums, and published more than 30 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals. Dr. Altuna has given invited lectures all over the world. He holds a patent on an invention for telescopic bone plate in bone lengthening and is currently working on a new patent application.
He is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, the Canadian Association of Orthodontists, the European Association of Orthodontists, the German Orthodontic Society, the World Orthodontic Society, the International Dental Research, and a Fellow of the Royal college of Dentists of Canada.
